Juneteenth Celebration

Sponsored by the KCK NAACP. the Juneteeth Celebration will be on Saturday, June 21st from 10 am to 5 pm at Quindaro Park, 34th Street and Sewell. Admission is free, and food, entertainment and concessions will be available. Juneteenth honors the date in 1865 that slaves in Texas were made aware of the Emancipation Proclamation, which was issued two years earlier.
