The 20th Annual St. Louis Earth Day Festival will be held on
Sunday, April 26, 2009 from 11am to 6pm.
The Muny Grounds in Forest Park will again provide the beautiful
backdrop for the largest Earth Day celebration in the Midwest.
NOTE: The permanent date for the St. Louis Earth Day Festival has been set for the 4th Sunday in April starting in 2009. We made the change to make planning easier for all!

. St Louis Earth Day Receives Grant from Boeing .
St. Louis Earth Day has received a $7,000 grant from the Employees Community Fund of Boeing St. Louis. The grant will help support St. Louis Earth Day programs, including Recycling On the Go, the regions first wide-scale event recycling program.
. St. Louis-Jefferson Solid Waste Management District Grants $50K to Recycling On the Go Program .
St. Louis Earth Day was awarded $50,000 to extend its Recycling On the Go program into the City of St. Louis and to develop a Green Restaurant pilot program. The grant is funded by Missouri landfill tipping fees and allocated through the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.

Cassie Phillips has recently joined St. Louis Earth Day as Projects Director after completing undergraduate and graduate degrees at Truman State University. While there, she was an active leader in environmental programming and coordinated Truman's annual Earth Week events, which include a community festival, workshops, an environmental studies conference and more. As Projects Director, Phillips is thrilled to put her skills to work for St. Louis Earth Day. Since coming to the organization, she has tackled several programs, including: planning the St. Louis Earth Day Festival; coordinating Recycling On the Go, and the Green Restaurant initiative, to name a few.
