Saturday, October 4 is the 3 D Dinner, the Third Congressional District Democratic Dinner, will be at Lucky's Steak and Chop House, the first floor restaurant of the Seventh Street Casino, 803 N. 7th Street. It is crunch time and every voter touched could make the difference on Election Day. With enough volunteer efforts, we can make thousands of calls in one night which helps us get our message out to voters and helps us streamline our Get Out The Vote efforts as we move closer to an Election Day victory. The 31st Senate District is a pivotal district for the Democrats to hold in this election. Chris Benjamin is the Democratic Candidate in that district and the next 3 weeks are going to be crucial in his election. CANDIDATE SIGN DISTRIBUTION IN BELTON & RAYMORE, SATURDAY, OCTOBER 18
Volunteers for the Cass County Democratic Committee will be in Belton and Raymore on Saturday, October 18, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. In Belton, we will be in the empty lot (except for all the large Democrat signs) between Sonic and Benjamin Liquors. In Raymore, we will be located at the Hensley Law Office parking lot. Candidate signs, Obama signs, Obama bumper stickers, pins and shirts will be available. If you know anyone who has been wanting any of these items, please let them know where we will be.
GOVERNOR’S RACE DEBATE, SATURDAY, OCTOBER 18
The debate for Missouri’s next Governor, between Jay Nixon and his opponent, will be held live on Saturday, October 18, on WDAF Channel 4 (Kansas City) at 6:00 pm.
Come join us at this month's coffee with Congressman Emanuel Cleaver. It will be at Niecie's, 8686 E 63rd Street, in Raytown, from 8:00 until 10:00 AM.
Bring your questions and concerns and talk with him about them. He will share the latest happenings in the capitol as well.

A candidate forum will be hosted by the Chamber of Commerce on Thursday, October 23, at 7:00 pm at the Eagle Glen Intermediate School, 100 S. Foxridge Drive, Raymore. Doors will open at 6:30 pm. Please come out to support our Democratic candidates. Lots of friendly faces and enthusiasm in the crowd will make it a very successful evening for Democrats. The last Missouri Governor’s Race Debate will be held Friday, October 24, hosted by KY3/Springfield News-Leader/Ozark Public TV/KSMU, time to be announced.
The Peculiar Harvest Moon Parade and Festival will be held on Saturday, October 25. The parade will begin at 11:00 am and the festival will run from noon to 6:00 pm. Our candidates will be in the parade and could use your support, whether it be helping pass out literature and/or candy, or just supporting them from the sidelines.
